Relay Weekend is Here !

Team Aether Chrononauts and Tiny Steps is proud to tell you that this weekend is RELAY - the weekend to meet at the track. We would love to see you at the track. We want to thank each and every one of you who has supported us in so many ways. It takes a village, and in our case, nations, to complete the job without stressing out. We are all busy folks.

Our campsite is dedicated to the Steamlands and the wonderful fine folks who are our neighbours. (Yes, we consider Raglan and the tiny areas of the grid to be members.) The build was a huge team effort. Cassie Eldemar built the castle. Princess Selena Anansi did the landscaping. Cierra Anatine from Kismet did the interior decorating. Eilidh McCullough and I planned the rooms.  Magda Kamenev, Cassie and I wrote the storyline. Aminata Potez and I did the memory garden. Princess Selena also did the filler spot between our team and Fantasy Faire - to connect the two in a wonderful way!

Thank you to all who put in so much time, from the very start of Relay back in March, to those joining us on the track and at the campsite. Thanks to those who gave banners and items for the castle. It makes it home for all of us.

We truly enjoyed doing this campsite with all of you in mind. Stop in and enjoy!

Bard Wasp - Moody Blues

Bard Wasp, Blues Man Extraordinaire  - will be playing his usual Sunday Set for Team ACTS on Sunday, July 10th, 2016 - Bard has participated in Fantasy Faire and will be playing for the Relay Track - this is one you do not want to miss!

Ms. Ichie Kamachi will be singing for Team ACTS at the Activities Sim at RFL of  SL at 7pm on July 10th, 2016.     With a voice reminiscent of such Jazz greats as Nina Simone and Billy Holiday, this songstress has made a name for herself in SL with her repertoire of jazz and blues.  That is not all she does however, an Ichie show may also include country, pop, light rock, Hawaiian and her trademark "Naughty Song".  Ichie may be one of the most versatile performers in Second Life. If you are looking for a voice that is sultry, sensuous, and as smooth as butter, who can both chill out a room and heat it to a frenzy, look no further. With a heart as big as her voice, I guarantee you will not be disappointed

Swashbucklers For Life Weekend for the Steamlands

Swashbucklers for Life is a collaboration between various pirate / privateer / buccaneer groups throughout the Steamlands in support of Relay for Life in Second Life. Originally conceived as a (relatively) simple gathering of the Black Moon Marauders, the Crimson Pirates of Caledon and the Winterfell Privateers, SFL quickly grew into a weekend-long event involving a number of different groups and spanning numerous sims.

There were many great events throughout the weekend!!! All had their own splash of color and fun and represented their nation well  in the following events !


On Friday, June 24th   from 7:30 - 9pm SLT, The Black Moon Marauders hosted the Buccaneer's Ball at the Laughing Dragon Tavern in Caledon Llyr for some rum and rowdiness to  kick off the Swashbucklers for Life 2016 weekend. Your safe passage is guaranteed* for the evening, so come and dance the night away with the Black Moon Marauders! If the sim is full, you can join the drunken revelry on the dock next door in Caledon Mayfair.

* Please note that a pirate's guarantee is generally not worth the parchment it's scrawled in blood upon, and that you probably won't make it out alive. On the other hand, you'll have so much fun that you almost certainly won't care, so come on out and dance like it's your last night on earth! Because it may very well be ...



On Saturday, we had a lovely ball at the Edison Ballroom in St. John with Lady Gabrielle Riel playing some wonderful music for all of us to enjoy !  Thank you so much to the citizens of St. John and Her Grace, Gabi for providing such wonderful music in a beautiful setting as always!







Later that night , we had a delightful Fashion Show -  Walk the Plank Fashion Show (Black Moon Marauders)

Join us for the 6th annual Walk the Plank pirate fashion show to be held on board the Morrigan in Caledon Mayfair. Audience seating will be on the dock facing the ship. Come see some of the loveliest wenches and handsomest rogues in the Steamlands as they strut their stuff on the gangplank over shark infested waters.   

These daring models are forced to walk the plank over shark-infested waters for your amusement. The best-dressed pirates in the Steamlands will be showing off some of their favorite outfits, including some interesting original combinations. Afterwards you'll be treated to a grand finale performance by the Black Moon Marauders (BMM) models, choreographed as well as possible amid the rum-infused revelry and numerous fire hazards aboard the ship.

This was followed by a fantastic dance Swashbucklers For Life, with Tao Mistwalker spinning the decks again.   So much fun and great LMs.  Thanks to Tao, Ms. Nyree Rain, Ms. Jan Stroikavskoi, Ms. Patty Poppy - all the fantastic models and the lovely clothes by the designers.  Call any of these fine folks for the lms - or call me.   Fantastic job!! Very impressive.   


Sunday is always the final day - and the day we have the Privateer's Ball sponsored by the Winterfell Privateers and the Steamlands Pirate Council.   Her Grace, Magdalena Kamenev played some fantastic music in a beautiful setting  - expect pictures to come.   The  venue was The Nepenthe Gate flanked by the ships of Winterfell.   Thanks to Admiral Beaumont and the Winterfell Privateers for helping to pull this together - and  a special thanks to Princess Selena Anansi.

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated.  A special thanks to Cay's of Woodland Lake, Cay, and the djs who participated in the great DJ Battle.   A special thanks also to Blackhawk Heights and Lady Zinda Blake for having  the Royal Ascot Race - hosted by Chateau Trikassi, Her Grace Liz Wilner, Lady Oriella, Countess Cassie Eldemar and Lord Eldemar.   The Call of the Race was made by DJ Gerrard Winstanley and filming by Sir Elrik Merlin.   A fantastic After Party was djed by Sir Winstanley also - thanks to all that make these events happen.  There is a lot of work that goes into each event with thought and loving care.   (Only one raffle vendor was kicked in the process - but all worked out well - just an OldeSoul moment)   We are looking forward to Swashbuckler's weekend and more events coming up !!!!

Our Third Annual Royal Ascot Race

The 3rd Annual Royal Ascot Race could not have been better - Admiral Beaumont - thank you for the great pictures, and thanks to Lady Zinda and Blackhawk Downs for providing such an awesome venue! The true winner of the day was RFL of SL.- raising over $L40K Lindens. Thank you to Chateau Trikassi, Her Grace, Liz, and Lady Charik for all their work setting up. Thank you Countess of Altheim, Cassie Eldemar for your builds and help with vendors. A big thanks to Sir Gerrard Winstanley for calling the races and for Djing our after party and to Sir Elrik Merlin for the live action to come ! A big thank you to all the horses and their riders who competed to make this a great event!!

Royal Ascot is a very special occasion for those lucky enough to be there. It has always been a traditional British event and that is reflected in the dress code throughout the week of races.  Below are the three areas for viewing.  We hope you enjoy your day at the races!

So, I had this idea. Let's do a DJ Battle to raise money for Relay For Life. Good idea but I can't do it - I don't DJ. I needed help and Aliya HeronJezzika DebevecSasha Sugar AllardyceBen ShuttFilo Tani, and Rinda DeCuir answered the call. Then you need hosts to 'referee' the battle and be sure the guests are all warmly welcomed and Zara MistwalkerCloudrider Resident, and Anita Manders(Phedra) could not have done a better job. Then you need someone to help plan and set it up and pull it all together and, as usual, RB Parker was there. He's the calm in my storm. Before the event I was so nervous because more than anything I wanted it to go well for the ACTS RFL Team and Olde Eldemarand Cassie Eldemar who work so tirelessly for Relay for Life all year long.

We created a Facebook event page. We sent out invitations. We posted and chatted and hoped our friends would come and support this great cause. WOW! Did y'all ever! You came and danced and "trash talked" with us! You shared stories about how cancer had touched your lives - those celebrating surviving the fight and the pain of losing those that didn't. You came and were generous beyond our wildest expectations!

YOU raised $L209,458 in 6 hours! YOU donated to Relay For Life of Second Life $838!! Because of all of you we pushed the ACTS Team's total over 1 million L$ raised so far this year! Congratulations! YOU ARE THE BEST!!

I am grateful beyond words for each and every one of you and all you contributed of your time, talent and donations. All of us at Cay's are proud to have had a part in making this incredible night happen. Thank you for allowing us be a part of it!

The First Weekend of June - SO MUCH FUN!!!



Racing For A Cure - Our Driver - Sean55 Richards 

The is your silly captain speaking and words cannot express how much fun we all had at the Buddy Forsythe 100 Race this weekend!!!   Thank you to everyone who was able to come and see our car and donate for the WINNING PAINT JOB !!!   For those of you who were not there, it was for a new team, Team Buddy.  Buddy was THERE!!   He has cancer and is undergoing treatments but sounded great and everything was very upbeat and positive.   You can hear Buddy and his story in the following short video.

Suzie Anderton did a great job of filming https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Prh7qjgpwNc for those of you unable to attend.   We packed the sim and the drivers were just awesome. BEST DRIVER:  well ours of course, Sean55 Richards.   His wife Amber was with us.   In Heat 1, he did have the fastest lap and he also had the fastest lap in the race.   You can see Sean with the other drivers dancing  - he is on the very far left.   Our car is number 53 - our team number.  The car, the race uniforms designed by Amber, Sean's wife were all done in memory of our dear friend Shady Fox. A proper riverdance was held after the race and we were even on the live footage of the race !!!

We are still doing some work to wrap up the race and get the google docs going for next year.   We did win a trophy and will get that soon for the paint job.   Sean and Amber have both agreed to race for us next year  - and we were all excited to hear this !   The entire race, and interviews  - can be seen on this longer video - with pictures at the end !  The entire event on video, complete with radio and commentary 3 hours long -https://vimeo.com/169468769

It was a definite win win for everyone and especially for Relay For Life!   Just awesome !






After a short break, we went home, showered, and got ready to go celebrate the Annual Fuzzday Celebration - our friend, Marshall Ortega, turned 50 on June 5th.   He decided to donate his tips to Team ACTS in the spirit of Steelhead Salmons and their team.   Not only did he play his regular set for Krypton Radio - he then played the last hour also!!   A good time was had by all.  It is always good to hear our Team Song - Airship Pirates by Abney Park, along with the Team Song from Steelhead.  

Many of our friends from the Steamlands joined us along with many relayers.  Everyone had a great time at Club Gearz.   Remember, at all times, everyone is welcome and there is always room !!


On Sunday our own Sweet Valentine was on Relay Rap as a survivor, June 5th is Survivor day - and she did such a great job !! The transcript is in notices in group and in Relay Volunteers. It was a great show and Sweet did a fantastic job !!!   So proud of her - we stayed and partied for a while.

That will be on June 3rd at 4pm SLT, followed by the Annual Fuzzball Celebration on June 3rd at 7pm SLT  Ms. Poppy will be having the Jam Tart Ball on June 11th and will have one at 1pm SLT for our Euros and one at 7pm SLT for those late night folks.   I will not be so remiss as to not mention to get out those morning suits and lovely blue dresses for The Royal Acot Race.

Soliel Snook's 9th Rezz Day Celebration

Lady Gabrielle and the fine folks of Radio Riel Main and St. John held a memorial Rezz Day Service to honour Soliel Snook, a dear friend of Radio Riel and the Steamlands.  Donations went to Team ACTS and we were so proud of Ms. Gabi's efforts - we heard the Gabi of the Past and the Gabi of the Now!   It was such a delight to hear all of the old rezz day programs.   Many listened from Radio Riel Main.   We appreciate everything and know that Lady Soliel would be so proud.   I personally met her 2 years ago - at her rezz day party, and wanted to give her a gift.  She told me then to please give her a kiosk for RFL so she could dance by it.  She wanted research to continue.   Many of you knew Ms. Soliel for many years and had the pleasure of her divine collection of music, she brought a lot of new music to Radio Riel that we all enjoy to this day.  Ms. Soliel, we know you are with us and we thank you for all the beauty you brought to all of us.

Fantasy Faire 2016 would not have been possible without the support of the Aether Chrononauts Tiny Steps RFL Team. You came as merchants, as performers, producers and players, photographers, writers, and spinners of songs.  You even came as the Law! 

You brought joy, laughter, dance machines, and waffles! And you brought the Spirit of Relay.

Somewhere deep in the DNA of fantasy as a genre are lines of code about fellowship and struggles shared. These are connected to other lines - about reaching for what seems impossible, persevering in challenging times, about saying yes to the adventure - and together they weave a tapestry that is at once exotic and familiar.

WOW ! HALFWAY!!! AND LOOK AT THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS

You are certainly a busy group of folks - and I do understand that you honestly have real lives and I enjoy hearing about what you are up to .  So many of you work, some of you are working on your homes and gardens, and some of you are caregivers.  We are a very special group of folks - that mean very much to one another.   I absolutely LOVE LOVE our ACTS group inworld - where it is so easy to share.  

So far, we have worked with Christmas Expo, Home and  Garden and Fantasy Faire Mega events.  These are  opportunities  for you to shine  - and to let folks know you are there not just as a relayer but as a merchant.   We were at Paint SL Purple and many of you participated.  We went to Kick off and everyone is invited to the Halfway There Faire this weekend.  We will be getting our ribbon then.  IF you have any products to add to our vendors contact. Jennylynn Capalini  or me.  

We have a region sponsorship.   We also have Book Pedestals for the following people, Petuniia, Ms. Soliel, M. Whybrow, Shady, and our dear sweet Stillpink.   We also have two theme laps - so get your steampunk outfits and your swashbuckler outfits ready to go go go go ! Cathy10 Longoria has been very helpful in getting these sponsorships into our convio.!!!  

So here we are ready for the Halfway Faire this weekend.   We have achieved the Platinum Level -

Several teams have joined our umbrella team for the steamlands and that is wonderful - Steelhead Salmons, Team Caledon, St. John's, Team Fox Star, along with the smaller steamland communities that have always been under our umbrella of Aether Chrononauts Tiny Steps.

We will need more Tiny and Dinkie ossifers next year as we will be a part of Much Ado about Nothing - so you will be seeing some changes for Fantasy Faire - yeesh - plans are in the works ! Our main job of Jail and bails and watching ovah the steamlands is still our top priority.    Beware of Zander Greene - if you stay too close to him for too long - you will be bagged and tagged !! Trust me on this one!

A Wonderful Event that Meant a Lot to Others

The Grand Opening of Club Gearz was a wonderful event - and we thank the Steelhead Community for hosting this great event!   Thank you to DJ Fuzzball Ortega and to the new build by Cassie Eldemar with some assistance on the seal from Wildstar Beaumont.  Thank you also to those of you who helped me to get the word out!   It was wonderful to see several folks from our team.  Attending these events means a lot to those who work so hard.   Stay tuned for upcoming events !   Always a good time!!   We are sorry due to timing - this event was not helpful to our Euro folks!   We were tied to Krypton's radio schedule.   Make sure you get a chance to go see the build - check notices !

What a KICKOFF for TEAM ACTS!!!

I am so very impressed with our first event and all the busy things we have been doing to raise money for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life.

Our first event was a complete success !  DJ Otenth - did a marvelous job of entertaining us with a fabulous selection of music !!   It is still ringing in my ears - especially the cellos. Yes, the neighbors have mentioned the volume -

It is with great pleasure that I invite you to our two venues who are being very supportive of us  - Junkyard Blues and Theater on the Hill - We have box seats at Theater On The Hill and I am putting their notices in our group notices - please support both of these fine venues - they are very special to us !

If you have an idea for an event, please let me know so we can get the word out on social media.   We use FB, we have our own group on Google+, and I do public events there also, plurk, RFL of SL events calendar. Our events are also posted on our group in SL, Aether Chrononauts and Small Talk.  Let's get this thing cookin!!   Olde is ready to GO GO GO RELAY !!!!!

Time Traveller's Ball - Saturday, March 12 from 1-3pm SLT !!! Great Tradition !!!


WOW !!! WHAT A BUNCH OF BUSY RELAYERS !!!

Welcome to Team Aether Chononauts Tiny Steps - Team ACTS, let's keep life simple!   GRINS :)   Relay For Life of SL started on March 6th and already we have accomplished so much !!! I am so proud of our team - everyone working together - helping one another! It is a wonderful opportunity to build friendships and show our love to those who need us - those we are fundraising for - our family, our friends, and our extended global family. of Second Life.

We started Paint SL Purkle (Purple) a little early this year and shall continue as long as I am Captain - we started on Shady Fox's rezz day Feb 24!    Shady was a stong supporter of Relay For Life- always working with Racer's Giant Snail Team.   I saw many great displays of purkleness everywhere - Shady would have loved it !

Cassie and I both participated in the Home and Garden mega.   She sold three houses and three sets of stables.   It was an awesome mega event with a new team and they did an exemplary job !   I also sold four horses - two of them went for 30K at auction !! WOOT!!

Kelani Pinelli and Jennylynn Capalini have worked so hard to get ready for Fashion For Life - stop by - their shops are fantastic.   On top of all that work, both designed all the shirts for PSP and Relay!!!   Such an awe inspiring task !

We had kickoff - a fantastic venue built by Grace Louden !!   So lovely !!   Some met there and some were at Ms. Eili's place in Skybeam !   I mean if we ALL show up - goodness - transcripts and audio files are in notices !   Our fantastic supporter Ichie Kamachi sang live for relay !!! She wound up the night !    THE VOICE!!! WOOOT!

This season's theme is Once Upon a Cure.

We have some new and exciting things planned for this year. We have a new venue supporting our team - Theater on the Hill.   We have a box seat. compliments of Cassie and me for everyone working so hard.  . You do not need to be on the team to attend - they have fantastic shows!   Please let Zane Liittlething or me know if you plan to attend - the box is blocked off otherwise.

Then we will have our steamland events - and our first will be the Time Traveler's Ball in Winterfell - on March 12th from 1-3pm SLT with Otenth  Paderborn.

Thank you so very much for supporting our team  - the primary thing that I am asking of our community is to attend events.  Our builders, dj, designers, and event coordinators  go to a lot of work to get an event ready.   Your attendance is priceless.
